2026 Coaches
Shadow Cliff is fortunate to have talented, knowledgable and personable coaches that have helped carry on a long tradition of swimming at the pool. Each of the coaches has been a Shadow Cliff Shark and knows what it takes to run a successful summer program.

Coach Sophie was a member of the Shadow Cliff Sharks swim team for 13 years. She is returning for her 11th year as head coach, after serving as an assistant coach for 5 years. She has previously worked as head developmental coach for the Alamo Area Aquatics NE club team. She graduated from MacArthur high school as a 2-year swim team captain and attended Texas State University where she earned her degree in Special Education. She currently teaches at Encino Park Elementary.
James has been a Shadow Cliff swimmer for 13 years. This is his 5th year as an assistant coach. He graduated from MacArthur High School in 2022. While at MacArthur, he was a district and regional swimmer on the swim team in Freestyle and Breaststroke. He graduates from the University of Houston with a degree in Music Education in 2026.
James is available for private lessons for swim team famiies.
Riley was a club swimmer and summer league swimmer for 13 years. He swam on multiple summer swim teams including the Shadow Cliff Sharks Swim Team. This is his 4th year as an assistant coach. He graduated from Churchill High School in 2022. While at Churchill he was a varsity swimmer for four years, a Captain for two. a District, Regional and a State team member. He specializes in breaststroke, freestyle and IM. Riley graduates from Texas A&M University in College Station with a degree in Engineering in 2026.
Riley is available for private lessons for swim team families.
Sam Stephenson has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2012. This is his 4th year as a Jr coach. He graduated from MacArthur High School in 2025. At MacArthur he was a varsity swimmer for 4 years, a district, and a regional swimmer. He just completed his freshman year at the University of Texas. where he has been studying Music.

JP Tracy has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2018. This is his 4th year as a Jr coach. He is graduating from the School of Science Technology College Preparatory in 2026. He is also an assistant coach at Alamo Aquatics Swim Club. He will be attending the University of Texas Honors College in the Fall studying Electrical and Computer Engineering.
JP is available for private lessons.
Kam Tune has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2018. This is her 4th year as a Jr coach. She is graduating from MacArthur High School in 2026. At MacArthur she has been a varsity swimmer for 4 years, team captain, a district, and a regional swimmer. She plans on attending Texas A&M University and will be studying Biochemistry.

Alyson Biehl has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2018. This is her 3rd year as a Jr. Coach. She graduated from Churchill High School in 2025. At Churchill she was a varsity, and a district swimmer. She just completed her first year at the University of Texas at San Antonio studying Business Administration.
Alyson is available for private lessons.
Addy Liese has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2018. This is her 3rd year as a Jr. coach. She is currently a Junior at Churchill High School where she is a varsity, and district swimmer.
